Neutral Gear

    Sorry if this is not the correct place. I am using an Xbox one controller to my PC, when I go to controls settings I notice there are options to bind key/button to reverse, gears 1, 2 3 etc, but no way to bind a key for shifting directly into neutral gear as you would on H pattern manual? I know it must be possible with people who have H pattern gear box, but on controller the only way to go to neutral gear is to shift all the way down to 1st. Just wondering if there is a control I am missing? Or this function is not yet in the game?

    The binding is called "Neutral position" try a search for it in the bindings menu.

    I searched for that binding, but there are no matches. I am running the latest update of BeamNG

    That is not how H-shifters work, they have no trigger on the neutral position. They have a button on each of the gear positions. Positioning the lever in one of the gates holds the corresponding button pressed. Moving the lever away from there will release the gear button, and therefore Neutral will be entered automatically.

    Now, it seems that some people without H-shifters want to access Neutral gear directly, and using Clutch does not fit their needs. We have added the Neutral gear binding exclusively for this use case. It's not publicly available yet as @Goosah suggested, but it will arrive in the next non-hotfix version we release :)
