I've had this game since 2013 so almost exactly two years and I love it but since the update whit the mod folder I see that you can access your mods in-game and activate and deactivate it. I went to go check this but the mod tab in-game has nothing so I went to my BeamNG folder and there is no folder title "Mods" and the only way I play the game is putting all of my download mods like before the vehicles into the vehicles and the terrains into the terrains folder. I've even tried to create a mods folder but nothing showed up in-game on the mods tab. I still can play with the mods but I would much rather enjoy using the in-game mods tab.

Did you look in documents/beamng.drive ?
Because that's where it is, not in the games directory.

You need to make the folder if you don't have it. It should go here: Documents/beamng/mods
Then put your zipped mods inside and they should show up in the mod manager.

For unzipped mods, make folders in your mods folder called levels & vehicles and put the unzipped mods in them (maps go in levels, cars go in vehicles:p). Unzipped mods wont show in the mod manager if I remember, but they will work just fine. (That's what I do anyway)

If you unzip a mod you will need to go look in side a few sub folders to get to the actual folder containing the mod. Don't just plonk the unzipped file in.

When you unzip a mod you get something like this.
    carname/vehicles/carname/
    or
    mapname/levels/mapname/

Go into the vehicles or levels folder and move car/map to the respective folder in Documents/beamng/mods

If a mods install instruction say to unzip it, its probably an older mod. You should be able to unzip and zip it up in the correct manner if you desire. Just make a levels or vehicles folder and pop the unzipped mod inside. Then make a compressed zip folder and name it exactly the same as the mod. Drop the levels or vehicles folder into the zip and you should be good to go.

I don't really use the mod manager to be honest. It doesn't really do much at the moment. I'm not sure what plans they have for it.

    Hope that helps.

Well I found the Beamng folder in my documents but the mods that were unzipped I created a vehicles folder and a levels folder for them but they do not show up in the mods tab. The zipped however do and I am probably going to just stick to leaving the downloaded files zipped. But thanks a lot you guys:eek:
