    So is there some trick to get these to work or are they just broken due to new updates? Cause just simply adding it to the mods folder isn't doing the trick...

    It should be working.
    Inspect the zip and make sure it's setup like the following:
    Zip<Vehicles<Common<turbo_bov.ogg
    If it is like this, then you have another mod conflicting with it.

    This particular BOV was from a Chevy Truck running a single turbo @ 100 PSI.
