Ok guys I have downloaded some new motors models for sketchup. ALL proper credit will be givin to the original makers, I'm not a thief just wanting to add some more options for the looks of the V8.

I was just looking to see if anyone can point me in the direction of some tut's to convert from scetchup file to a blender file and then I'll need help with the jbeam writing and N/B's in blender if anyone knows of any tut's for that.

Making a car for my first mod was a bad idea, so now I'm trying something hopefully simpler and faster to do the fact I'm always working.

Swapping parts of models is difficult with the current system as that only supports a single mesh. ---Never mind, models are .skp, but want to use in Blender--- Also, Smoothing groups get borked when you change almost anything about the mesh, and that seems to be Gabester's #1 worse than toothpick in toenail 10/10 pet peeve at the moment, even moreso than straight A-Pillars. I would wait on swapping individual parts until multiple mesh support gets checked off the development to-do list. You could always try textures in the meantime. Textures can really make the same model look like something completely different, especially now that we have normal (or whatever you call the texturey bit controlling the depth of the texture in T3D) maps at our disposal.
