new GLTF exporter

    The new GLTF exporter seems like an amazing tool not only for debugging, but also for renders. Only issue is that it doesn't actually export with materials assigned to anything. Is it planned for this to be possible?

    Tried the exporter with the Pessima, had a look at it in blender and whilst the materials weren't assigned, the UV maps were still totally fine.
    It would just mean applying the textures manually, which depending on the car, shouldn't take so long.

    eh, it'd take at least a good hour or so to every material though. and if you have multiple cars in a scene...

    That's the only way I can see to be able to apply materials right now.

    Maybe the gltf format is the reason the cars don't have materials on them, something not compatible with BeamNG's material system perhaps?
    They are still experimenting with the exporter though, so something might get added further down the line.

    for me there arent even textures or materials in blender, i dont know how to use the gltf exporter but i tried exporting my pessima with all squares checked... upload_2020-7-27_13-11-41.png
