Hello! BeamNG has almost no Kei trucks or kei vans (Pigeons may be applicable), so this is a suggestion. This concept art was created by 'えすつーけー/S2K. By the way, I have permission to create threads. This car is modeled after the Subaru Sambar. There are rear drive and 4WD with rear engine. It was launched in 1999 and got a facelift in 2004. This is a proposal for adding this type of vehicle to official content.
That project sounds very interesting. I also like Japanese cars, so I am in favor of bringing cars that have not received much attention before into the game. Do you have any definite plans for this car? (e.g. who will create the 3D model) Perhaps I can help in some way.
The author of the 3D model is undecided. Personally, I proposed that these types of cars should be added as official content...
Is it possible if you drew the interior And i totally agree! I love Kei trucks and vans . Even though unfortunately we don't have them here where i live.
I didn't draw the illustration, so I can't draw the interior illustration, but I will post the interior of Sambar, which is the original story. I'm sorry (I got this image from the internet)
Why dont you draw your own version of the interior https://www.beamng.com/threads/ibishu-keigon.90761/ U like kei trucks? Here Pigeon kei truck Van https://www.beamng.com/threads/1980-1995-hrnd-vanberry-series-of-trucks-and-vans-w-i-p.91342/
Hi, sorry for the delay. I am the one who drew the first sketch. It was originally a doodle I drew in my spare time and posted on Twitter, but OMIZUWORLD saw the post and started a thread in the BeamNG forum to share ideas. I drew this illustration after seeing a post on the Pigeon-based kei-truck mod thread that said "this is a Subaru Sambar". Don't you think Honda or Mitsubishi would be a better choice to model if it is Ibishu brand? Since we have a brand that has Subaru as one of its bases, I thought Hirochi would be the best choice to tailor a kei-truck based on Sambar. I am trying my hand at modeling, but my school grades will probably put a stop to my development sooner or later, so I just hope someone will pick up the idea. In the meantime, I'll add some more material to help other modders. [Hirochi Elk] Launched in 1999. It was nicknamed the "SBR4 of farm roads" after the company's rear-engine sports car, because of its rear-engine rear-drive system unlike other kei-trucks. The passenger version of the van is given the sub-name Soleado. A classic series with a unique appearance is also available. In the meantime, I have some knowledge of light trucks, so if any light truck modders are watching this thread, please feel free to ask me anything.
i think the grille should be vertical and boxy with some curves --- Post updated --- also the sbr4 was launched like in 2012 or smth
You say it started production in 1999 but next to the interior sketch you wrote 1994 and that gave me an idea: What he describes could be the 94-98 model, boxier grille with vertical bars, right between the boxier headlights and on the passenger van a boxier rear bumper/ taillights. The rest of the body retains its curves and stays the same Your drawings are really good, probably better than I could do. Also wanted to ask how it would be rear engined, is the engine under the bed or van floor?
Oh, sorry, the reason the top of the 9 is not connected and looks like a 4 is because my handwriting is messy. It is actually 1999, so don't worry. This truck was produced from 1999 to 2012. In Japan, the standards for light vehicles were changed in 1998, and the limit of body dimensions became larger. So most kei-cars including Sambar and Heizet underwent a full model change in 1999. The other thing is that this truck dares to be newer in age to avoid direct competition with the Pigeon-based kei-truck. So we have no intention of making an older model than this at this time. This vehicle, like the IRL Sambar, has the engine mounted at the rear end. The van model has the rear bumper as a maintenance hatch. (I'm lazy, so I won't draw a picture, but will put up an image of the Sambar)
The rear engine and short wheelbase structure are based on the Sambar, but the Hijet is also a motif.
Want an Ibishu kei truck? How about this one with a midship layout, about one generation before the Elk, available in a variety of models to ride the wave of Japan's economic boom? It first appeared with a 550cc engine, but the body was extended and a 660cc engine was installed when the Kei car standards were revised in 1989. However, I do not intend to turn Elk into Ibishu. I consider Ibishu to be a top-tier company and Hirochi to be a second-tier but unique company, so I think the Elk's unique structure, including the rear engine and supercharged engine, would suit Hirochi.
No you said "Heizet" its Hijet i think --- Post updated --- How safe are these IRL? bc i would want one
Oh, I just noticed the spelling mistake. I am not a native English speaker and I use Deepl translation, so this happens from time to time. And it definitely refers to Hijet.
