1. Airbags: how awesome would it be to see a car crash into another cat and out from the steering wheel come an airbag. Possibly the passenger dashboard also. It might sound hard to do but instead of going into details of each car and making an animtion for each steering wheel, i think it should just pop up and deflate. 2. Crash test dummies with physics: see how people react to crash and watching the dummy fling forward. 3. Seatbelts. It explains itself. 4. Slow motion camera: like. High speed camera mode. Hopefully these ideas get considered
All these have been suggested before. I can answer 2, therefore answering 1 and 3: Crash test dummies and any sort of ragdolls are not possible right now, maybe in the future. Airbags are pointless to just go off, same for seatbelts. They serve no purpose if there isn't any sort of "crash test dummy". (There was no official word on ragdolls, etc.. Probably a no) 4. Yes, there will be either a slow mo or replay feature, or both, I can't remember. Yes, use the search.
Well to my knowledge you can use beams and nodes to make anything you want. It doesn't just have to be limited to cars, so theoretically you could make a person out of them (wouldn't be very practical though).
I might be able to do a ragdoll... If i model a crash test dummy in blender. I can port it out to torque 3D. Should i do it? I have never done porting or making 3D items. If i could get a little help (link to wiki, how to export, how to make it deformable etc.) would be great. I have blender and i am downloading Torque 3D
Re: I might be able to do a ragdoll... No. The BeamNG game isn't out yet so you won't find any instructions for getting it into the game. And ragdolls usually aren't "deformable." They use multiple rigid bodies (limbs) strung together forming a skeleton.
The reason it would be hard to make is that you would have to make the whole interior of the car out of beams. It's not impossible, but it's impractical.
