New Materials problem

Hi I am trying to make new materials with custom textures. However when i make the custom textures and try to use them, they show up as no material orange. Is there something wrong with the textures or the material. Could some one tell me what the problem is.

Can you explain where you put this new materials file, as well as show the "singleton Material" block?

 

I think I fixed it. I looked for it in the materials.cs file and found my material was not listed.
