I think that most of the people on this forum will agree with me that BeamNG needs a new, modern supercar, maybe something inspired from the the Zenvo TSR-S or Aston Martin Vulcan, considering the devs have been going in the direction of Europe with the new Cherrier FCV.

I also think that the 200BX could do with a revamp, if not a cousin.
If the devs were to revamp the 200BX, I think they should add more "Japanese Inspired" configurations such as a bosozoku variation or an official stance variation (not Japanese, but JDM nonetheless).
If the devs don't revamp the 200BX, I would like to see a JDM cousin of the 200BX enter the game possibly inspired by something like the R32, or R34 GTR models.

yes, in fact, why not make a 2021 ibishu electric\hybrid super car in collaberation with hiriochi.

I can't tell who is serious and who is joking on this thread
Either way we have too many threads like this already, the "WE NEED SUPERCARS AND HYPERCARS AND MODERN VERSIONS OF EVERY VEHICLE" kind of threads

a modern Dodge Challenger would fit perfectly into the game because you can do alot with it like: Full Electric engines, i4 engines, i4 hybrids, v6, v6 hybrid, V8, V8 supercharged, V8 Hybrid, AWD etc.....

you can do so many thinks people can play with than just the Cherrier that came out with his bad Transmission

I agree I personally hate all the old cars and wish we had more modern vehicles I feel like beaming themselves should acknowledge the people who like new cars these days the forums already have hundreds of old cars for the people who like them we need new cars like 2017 and up

Ok... gonna throw this little bit out there... take it as you will.

While I do like the idea of a new, high end, vehicle in game, I think once you start getting into the stiffness and weight of aircraft grade aluminum, it starts to become difficult to make vehicles realistically.

Most modern hyper/super cars are made almost exclusively from carbon fiber. Is it impossible to make things in Beam from carbon fiber... no. But the trick to making things stable is you have to keep the node density down. If you don't keep the node density low enough, you start to run into the issue of nodes becoming too light and the engine starts to become unstable when you start using the spring stiffness and damping required to properly simulate carbon fiber.

Unfortunately, we have all come to know and love the detail of vehicle that the devs have kindly created for the game. This detail requires a relatively high number of nodes which requires us to spread out the mass among them which then ends up lowering our node weight.

Normally when dealing with heavier vehicles, this really isn't an issue. Especially older stuff that had a lot of weight like cars from the 70's and 80's... or just pickups in general. However, once you start getting into more modern vehicles, their construction starts getting so efficient, that even vehicles made out of steel start to get close to the node weight limit with steels stiffness. Then you make the jump to aluminium, which seems like it would be worse, but luckily aluminum isn't as stiff as steel, so you can get away with lower spring stiffness and higher damping rates even though the node weight would be lower than what you could normally run.

Carbon fiber on the other hand is VERY stiff... its stiffer than steel... yet weighs about 5 times less. This means that you have to drastically reduce the node count to keep the weight of the part at realistic levels while keeping accurate spring stiffness and damping rates so that you can keep that node weight up.

So what am I getting at... is a modern supercar/hypercar impossible? Hardly... but... it will take a lot of work, a lot of fiddling, and a lot of messing around to actually get them right. Deformation needs to be accurate as we know this is important for the beam team, along with how the parts are all represented... so with a lot of tuning it can be done... but just keep that in mind... it will take similar amounts of effort as creating an actual supercar... and that's not a joke.

Maybe something like an actual hybrid car, not full electric or combustion, but both. Idk if the devs have the ability to do that, but I think it would be pretty cool..
