Hi everyone, I am going to build a new PC because my laptops NVMe is going to die soon, and I want to make sure it will be able to run BeamNG in maximum settings with AI traffic, aswell as some other games such as Assetto Corsa, ETS2 and The Bus by TML, aswell as content creation tasks such as modding BeamNG, video editing and audio editing in FL Studio CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9700X 3.8 GHz 8-Core Processor ($539.00) Memory: Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory ($179.00) Storage: Boot: Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($176.00) Games, Data: Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($279.00) SSD From Laptop: Crucial BX500 1 TB 2.5" Solid State Drive (Purchased For $0.00) Video Card: Inno3D Twin X2 GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER 12 GB Video Card ($919.00) Case: Fractal Design Pop XL Air ATX Full Tower Case ($195.00) Power Supply: Corsair RM850x (2024) 850 W Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($189.00) Total: $3063.00 PCPartPicker Part List: https://au.pcpartpicker.com/user/MrRadYT/saved/TPFm3Cj
As far as I know, the 9700X with PBO enabled and boosting the power limit from 65W, gets pretty close performance to the 7800X3D. Only thing this doesn't have is 96MB of L3 cache, but thats not my main priority as I also do productivity tasks too. So please correct me if I am wrong, but there shouldn't be much of a GPU bottleneck with this CPU? Thanks!
I have a 1080P 144HZ G-Sync monitor, and the GPU I picked is an Inno3D RTX 4070 Super with 12GB VRAM. Ideally, 1080P (which is native) and 144FPS to match the refresh rate would be nice
yes you should be ale to run beamng on ultra settings with ai on with that setup but sometimes it will dip below 110fps but shoud average 130 or so fps. I have a AMD Ryzen 9 5900X and some tikme it bottlenecks my gpu which is a RTX 4080 Super. also if you are doing modding you will be using blender, if I am correct and for content creation what sort of videos are you doind eg 4k@60 or 1080p@48 etc. thanks!
130FPS is pretty good. I am ok with the occasional dips, aslong as its not like a freeze for a few frames, which can be pretty annoying. Yes, I will be using Blender for modelling parts for vehicles, and VS Code for modding the jbeams. For videos, I am hoping to do 1080P 60FPS, as thats the standard for gameplay videos now. Thanks for your help!
Your setup will run that smoother than butter! If you want, you may be able to run CK Extreme Graphics Mod (unlocks hidden graphical settings) or ReShade.
No worries! (Also I finally got a better grammar. I recently was anwsering posts on the web browser on my kindle.)
