After two days of building a terrain(2048) everything got messed up suddenly. When i later open my terrain the grass textures were gone, so i fixed it, now every single bump and hill i made are gone too - ground is flat. Trees, roads, rocks and some textures are still there where they should be. I also saved my terrain after every 5 minutes just in case, also a backup folder. So i took files from backup folder but even that didn't help, every thing looks the same.. What happent and why ?

I've put a lot of time and effort in that terrain, starting all over again isn't solution for me. Ideas and suggestions are welcome.

Do you know exactly where your .ter file is? Have you set up a properly organized folder for your map?

Yes, one was in my new terrain folder and second one was in the art\terrains\GridMap. :) Of course i allready started all over again with bumps and heights but the concern this happening again is still there.

you need to make sure your terrain is not using resources from other terrains. I would suggest using notepad++ and searching the .mis file for "levels/" or something like that.
