    Hi,

I am quite new to BeamNG and gaming in general and was wondering if someone could give me the best graphic settings for my PC (spec below). I am currently running everything on normal (see attached screenshots) and default and it still has a little lag now and again.

    CPU - AMD Ryzen 7 5700G - 8 core 3.8Ghz
Graphics - AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT
    RAM - 32GB - DDR4-3200 MHz
    Monitor Refresh Rate - 100hz

I have tried the previous suggestions below:
    Answers to your suggestions below:
    • Is your BIOS up to date? Check on your motherboard manufactuer's page for the latest version. - I won't update my motherboard as last time I did that it fried it. Luckily, it was still under warranty and it has happened to quite a few HP PC's I've noticed.
    • Is your RAM running at the advertised 3200MHz, and not the 2133MHz fallback speed? Check in Windows task manager and if it's 2133MHz, enable your RAM's XMP profile in your BIOS - My RAM is running overclocked (via HP Omen Gaming Hub) at 3467 Mhz
    • AMD Chipset driver up to date? It gets a new version every few months. - Yes, up to date
    • Windows running in balanced or high performance power plan? - High Performance
    • Radeon graphics driver up to date? - Yes, up to date
    • Monitor plugged into GPU, not into motherboard by accident? - Yes, plugged into GPU using the Displayport (would HDMI be better?)
    • AMD SAM (Smart Access Memory) activated? You can check with the free tool GPU-Z. - Yes, activated
Any other suggestions would be greatly received.

Dynamic reflections often cause lags for me, so maybe try disabling them ;)

I have done that but not much difference really.

What resolution? Sadly, Beam doesn't like AMD GPUs very much. Try the experimental Vulkan renderer from the launcher popular, it should give you more performance. Also open the CTRL Shift F menu for detailed insight into what's the limiting factor in your system

Sorry for the late reply but I have not been well.

I always start in Vulcan and I have tried in many resolutions but mainly use 1920 resolution but still the same.

I tried Ctrl Shift F but didn't understand the graph.

    Any other suggestions?

Check CK's graphics mod, there you'll find Lower-end settings for your game and more ways to save up performance.

Edit: also try setting the display to fullscreen instead of borderless and give Direct3D a try if you haven't already
