I am importing the map from Need For Speed: Most Wanted (2012) in blender but i need help on how to export in to beamng --- Post updated --- I exported a small part of the map as a .dae , but the buildings and trees are rotating to face me, like foliage and there is no texture.
I exported a bit more of the map but there is no collisions and the textures aren"t applied even tho they are in the same folder --- Post updated --- still no textures and trees are weird --- Post updated --- It's a little bit too big but i can fix that in blender and i got the collisions working
I wish I could assist in importing Fairhaven. But I don't really have any modding skills. All I can say is: Good luck with this project. It's quite the undertaking. CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANGE EVERYTHING YOU AREEEEEEEEEE AND EVERYTHING YOU WEREEEEEEEE
that's progress i guess? --- Post updated --- if i have a lot of time i can just re do the roads using mesh roads it should not be too hard
i need this in my life i hope you succeed in finishing this or at least a small portion GOOD LUCK!!!!!
i may have underestimated the size of fairhaven, i can't use mesh roads because nfsm roads are all slightly curved and half of the textures are missing but not every time i need to figure out what i'm doing wrong --- Post updated --- in the screenshot there is almost 1.8% of the map and it's already 800Mb --- Post updated --- there's what it should look like
I actually own nfs 2012 Its looking awesome, even from 11 yrs ago Will u make huges internațional aeroport?
i have the dlc so i'll try making it too --- Post updated --- well that looks better, i'll try fixing the trees one day --- Post updated --- oh and i could also probably export nfsmw cars into beamng (even though i have no idea how i think i can)
i now know for sure that i can fix the missing materials and fix the trees but it's really time consuming
i think what i will do is uploading a very small part of the map and add other parts one at a time so you have regular updates and i have some sort of progression to keep me going
This was always my favourite NFS (best soundtrack and car list imo), can't wait to be able to play it with DLC sections like I did a decade (already?!) ago. Will this have Ai support? It would be extremely appreciated.
Could you just delete all the trees, and use BeamNG vanilla trees in their place? Also, check the normals in blender. I'm sure you're doing this already, but BeamNG loves a tyre pop or to eat your car if the normals are facing the wrong way anywhere...
no, i don't. i am a complete beginner in blender. what are normals? and replaceing all the trees by beamng trees is just too much work fow me --- Post updated --- i am currently on another computer and textures are not working anymore in blender --- Post updated --- if these are the normals they're facing the right way i think? --- Post updated --- this is very very wrong i'm gonna try with the files from the ps3 version of the game --- Post updated --- updating to blender 3.6 did the job, so back to work
oh my god YES I've been dreaming of porting this map over for months now. Glad to see that someone is finally doing it!!! If you ever need help, I'm up for the job. I'd really love to see this become a good port considering that Fairhaven is in my opinion, the best map out of the entire Need for Speed Franchise.
https://all3dp.com/2/blender-recalc...e colored blue, normals that have been flipped. This does a better job than I could. Use display face orientation, then try and make sure it's all blue on the bits a car will drive on. --- Post updated --- ..or crash into.
have you ever heard of golden meadows? it's a part of the map that looked kinda like a china town, but was scraped because ea didn't give the devs enough time. Gameplay of an early build found on a ps3 devkit hdd. nfsmw was really supposed to be most wanted 2, really sad that it ended up like this --- Post updated --- alright i'll use it but i think they're already good, the only problem is the sidewalk, they're absurdely high
