Hi, im attempting make a Nikko circuit from Assetto Corsa Making it just4fun Some screens from beggining just import the road and make it from terrain (my eng is poor, and yes it's a template map) It was like that then like that and with strange-looking (for me) skidmarks It has no much slope, so i create it If the screenshots do not understand the terrain, I made a stupid video Beta of nikko Upload my template here, idk drop it in mods if not work try to drop it where other default levels. Well, can't fix the texture problem, i make all my meshes (2) in one model in SU and export with textures - the same, then i find the some of textures was in jpeg format i make their in png - with the same result, so idk. Collision on some kerbs (not all) can easily explode tire if you drivt on it or skidding roof & glass texture - su, but roof support also have texture from su and it have warning material dont know why add some smooth on slopes and can't get the different textures from other maps like "Industrial", "Hirochi raceway" just for concrete, on screen i have concrete2 i dont like that texture but just change to another - does not work. I had tried do same as in Sneerik's guide but i lost all my textures except that concrete so i backup material.cs back and stayed with \/.
Your material name in Blender needs to be same as MapTo in materials.cs and path needs to be correct, make sure you use / and not \ in path of the texture. Here is more information about how to solve no texture issue, it is for vehicles, but with map objects you still have to deal with same challenges/rules with material name and mapto: https://www.beamng.com/threads/content-creation-and-import.55577/#post-881111 Then use unique material name in materials.cs for example use your forum name in material name to make sure it is unique, if you have concrete here as material name, it might use some other mapTo path than what you want, but making material name unique makes sure MapTo under this material name will be used. NOTE this material name below has nothing to do with Blender material name, it is only Material name game uses internally: singleton Material(Weirdo_face_fufsgfen) Usually using DDS texture is better than png or jpg, see this post for details on DDS: https://www.beamng.com/threads/mesh-not-appearing-in-game.55748/#post-884470 Also this Wiki page https://wiki.beamng.com/Exporting_Textures_-_DDS_Files Nvidia DDS tool is what some people recommend, I have used this at times https://vvvv.org/contribution/dds-converter You can also post materials.cs here if problems persists, fixing no texture should not be too difficult, but before getting how texture system works (it completely ignores materials and textures from Blender, only material name needs to be same as mapTo and materials.cs is what makes textures to work or not).
It is no different with Sketchup, afaik. You set material name in Sketchup and that has to match mapTo.
upd. Thanks for the help with texture fufsgfen , I found what was wrong with them and they work but not final.
