Tried to get a fast lap in but did not really manage to achieve such things. Hirochi SBR4 AWD TT S2 Vanilla - Stock config - Default tune - ESC set to "Sport+" - Transmission in "Sport" Time: 07:55.144 After that I decided to relax and drive something slow: a 3 wheeled Wigeon. I mean, how hard can it be to get a Wigeon around the Nordschleife? It tops out at ~120 km/h and has only 3 gears. Ibishu Wigeon LX Vanilla - Stock config - Default tune Time: 13:44.694 Spoiler: Onboard view It was quite hard. Tipping wasn't too much of an issue but the snap oversteer sure was specially due to the limited steering angle of the Wigeon. I can not recommend driving the Wigeon around the Nürburgring since it is basically just a very slow panic attack.
Have anyone lapped the donk yet? I highly discourage it Bruckell moonhawk donk Vanilla - Custom config (only put on sport brakes, nothing else's changed) Time: 9:34.175
I tried the donk on a stock setup omg its a nightmare haha understeer city or what so ill try your way and give it some sport brakes see how i go
I found it that you need to be very smooth with your inputs to make it SOMEWHAT controllable. also dont go past like 60% on the brakes in hard braking zones or it'll start bouncing uncontrollably, that was propably biggest problem for me getting a clean lap
I took the donk for a walk around the track, it didn't like it. Bruckell Moonhawk Donk Vanilla - Stock config - Default tune Time: 9:37.246 I decided not to upgrade the brakes since I found it funny and interesting to manage the overheating brakes: "hmm, should I use the brakes this corner and not have them in the next, or coast this turn and have the brakes for the next turn?" Spoiler: Bonus View
My first attempt, stock setup i was a little cautious trying to find the donks limits isnt easy but its challenging.
Tried some more silly vehicles, a modified Capsule Panorama and a Piccolina with a dummy on the roof. Capsule Panorama Mod - Custom config Time: 11:56.239 Spoiler: Onboard view I did not use race tires but grip was never the issue, brakes and tipping were. Autobello Piccolina 150 Corse w/ dummy on the roof Modded - Custom config Time: 13:49.895 It may look very easy to keep the dummy on the couch in the video, but I assure you that it is very difficult since the dummy is completely loose. I had a lucky run thanks to the dummy seemingly holding on to the back of the couch.
Much better this time still room for improvement there were times when im thinking yes i cracked this donk and then wallop im in the kitty litter.
Hey all. Thank you for all the submissions. This will sadly be the last week that I'll be able to maintain the leaderboard spreadsheet due to personal commitments. If someone would like to take over, I will gladly give access to editing the spreadsheet. If you're interested, PM me. --- Post updated --- mhegai will be taking over the leaderboard spreadsheet.
Everything is up to date. You can either start filling in times from now on, or if you'd like, I can continue until the end of this week. I'll PM you to let you know when to take over if you choose the latter.
If you are trying so many weird things try doing a full lap with a fr17 in reverse gear normal layout
