So this happened today, I imported my model into blender and then this happened... It's so not smooth and when I clicks on the smooth button it does nothing.

I even tried going into edit mode and then tried to use that to smooth and then this happened.

in edit mode there is this thing called remove doubles. right now every face is separated from the looks of it.

    Hopefully this fixes it.

I circled in the picture what you need to press to remove that. then try to smooth it.

I fixed it :) all you have to do is export it as a fbx file from 3ds max then import it into blender

    Two different problems here:
    1)
    You clicked the wrong 'smooth'.
That one you clicked is a mesh modifier (literally smooths out the vertices position)

    2)
When you pressed that smooth button, your model broke into tiny pieces.
That's possibly because the model has (or the import settings you used caused) all the faces being 'split'.
That can be fixed, as said by @crashmaster above, by removing the doubles vertices.

If you need 'smooth shading' you need to click this smooth button instead:

(Note that if you have the problem n.2 described above, you first need to remove the doubles)

Said that, lately you are making threads about simple Blender / 3D basic things.
May I advice to check some Blender tutorial instead? May be much more useful to understand how Blender (and the 3D work in general)
Good series, which pretty much everybody stumbles upon when learning Blender:
