I'm wondering, does anybody know of any old games that were exceptionally great for graphics quality when they were released?. I'm surprised Midtown madness 2 looks so good for being from 2000. [These are all mod cars, and a graphics mod installed, but point is you can make them exceptionally great. Also the city is stock]
gud graphix best game evar - - - Updated - - - Both Gran Turismo 6 and GTA 5 look great for a PS3. Specially GTA, which has a massive open world map.
Is it just me or Is Gran turismo 3's graphics quite nice for how old this game is this game was released in 2001 Here are some images
I recall an old driving game called 'Wreckless' on the original XBox that had pretty good graphics. The gameplay was horridly arcadey, but the lighting, particles, and models were up to snuff.
Doom and Quake were both cutting edge for their time. Half life, not so cutting edge but excellent looking (and playing) for the time, still had a few pieces of eye candy almost unheard of for the era.
Flatout 2 from 05 was pretty good with very little performance implications. Fouc looks much better but takes a mildly built pc to run. Nothing fancy.
MotorStorm: Pacific Rift has the best graphics of any game I've ever played. Launch title of the PS3, in 2006 Also Crimson Skies had amazing graphics and gameplay from a game in 2000
Meh, I liked the singleplayers on CoDs up to 4 but all multiplayer modes on all of the ones after 1 sucked. (I've never played CoD 3 or bothered with any CoD after 5.) I still think that CoD 1 UO has the best multiplayer of any FPS game. It's not just the gameplay either, most of the players themselves are a little more mature than the 12 year olds that act like Dalek in the other ones. (More mature as in a lot of them have kids.)
We used to gather all the neighborhood kids and play local multi player with 4 controllers connected on Cod 3, and usually with more people than controllers. That was so fun
