Old Games with Great Graphics

Project Gotham Racing 2 was an amazing looking game from 2003.

 

Idk I'm probably wrong but i think the water from Super Mario Sunshine (2002) doesn't look too bad...When you actually play the game it is rather reflective and moves like Gta IV

(also, is that DOF..?)

That's the X360 version though...

I've been playing some Burnout 3 on the original XBOX. Still looks good.

 

Transformers the game, cant remember when it came out but i remember buying the PS2 and it came with it

 

FSX. It photorealistically renders the entire planet in under a minute.

 

Sid Meyer's Railroads. i only wonder if there is something like it but newer.

 

The original Halo had some pretty crisp graphics for a 2000 game.
Also, this game was doing normal maps before it was cool.

 

What about GTR2? Does that count sorry if I can't post any pictures from the game on mobile at the minute

 

Did PS1 games used pre-rendered a lot?

 

Lots of older games did for cinematic scenes.
