    I miss when the reflections first came out and you could trick the game using the scroll wheel on the slider to give you unconventional resolutions for your reflections like 471x471 reflection maps.

    And like 584x584 or whatever the crap it would give you that was in the middle of all the more regular 128, 256, 512, 1024 and such options.

    You could find that perfect line between detail and performance.

    In it's current form I am stuck with some rather unfortunate conflict between quality or FPS that is either too taxing or ugly.

    More flexible control over this if possible would be amazing.

    Being one of the obvious titles that slows my I5 Down to 50-80% GPU usage I feel it's kind of important to be able to meet that fine line in quality and performance more than ever.

    Found this in C:\Users\USER\Documents\BeamNG.drive\settings\game-settings.cs:

    [xcode=c#]...
    $pref::BeamNGVehicle::dynamicReflection::debugEnabled = "0";$pref::BeamNGVehicle::dynamicReflection::detail = "0.3";
    $pref::BeamNGVehicle::dynamicReflection::distance = "1000";
    $pref::BeamNGVehicle::dynamicReflection::enabled = "1";
    $pref::BeamNGVehicle::dynamicReflection::facesPerUpdate = "4";
    $pref::BeamNGVehicle::dynamicReflection::textureSize = "256";
    ...[/xcode]EDIT: Just noticed .cs is C# :p
    EDIT2: Doesn't seem to work; BeamNG.drive just reverts it back :/

    My dynamic reflections don't work anymore for some reason. Even when the settings menu says they are on, the car has the static reflection it did when dynamic reflections are disabled. This happened on update 0.4.0.5

    Are you using mods?
    Did you try clearing out the cache [although this isn't as necessary as it once was]

    You can get that by enabling "dynamic reflections" in the graphics settings in game. You can there also change the distance and quality of reflections with the feature enabled.
    It may or may not have an visible impact on performance though! It depends on what kind of PC you have.

    What are your PC Specs too?

    If your Graphics Card does not support DirectX11 (Which is needed, as written in the system requirements), the game will be running in DirectX10 compatibility mode. Some graphical features may be missing in that mode, as it's not supposed to be a way to play the game.

    http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/307864-33-does-radeon-4770-support-directx11

    That GPU only supports DirectX 10.1.
    No DirectX 11 support from hardware.

    That's why you are having that issue. You are using a GPU that is not supported completely.
    DirectX11 is required from the game. Without it, as explained before, the game runs in compatibility mode, in which some graphical features may not be available.
