We have Etk800 which is a new wagon.....but I think old american station wagon might be awesome... Dont tell me there are legran wagon mods or etk wagon thing....They r not the vanilla cars. Sry for my bad eng.
I don't know about that ... wood doesn't so much deform as splinter and shatter. This would be especially problematic for an older woodie like the one in your post because the wood forms the main structure of the body. Real wood could be somewhat simulated by a series of breakgroups, but the wood parts would split along the same joints every time - a solution that would lower realism and compromise Beamng's promise of avoiding pre-modeled damage. On the other hand, woodies could come to Beamng in the form of the fake vinyl "wood" panels that pretty much every American automaker used at some point. Apparently Ford pioneered these things during the fifties, but the fake stuff didn't really take off until Chevrolet started making their own sometime in the sixties. Long story short, vinyl panels would be much easier to simulate than real wood because of the way it more or less flexes with the metal underneath. For example, take this 1987 Pontiac Safari, an apparent sideswipe victim: For proof that this also occurred on older wagons, note the front passenger door on this 1972 Ford LTD: One of the archetypes that I have the highest hopes for inclusion in Beamng.drive is the big, boaty seventies American station wagon - perfect for cruising, demolition derbies, and drag racing!
Possible? Yes. Likely to happen? No. I really like the idea, and we had something close to this with the Moonhawk expansion pack a few years ago. To bad that is outdated and long gone by now.
I wouldn't rule it out just yet. I think there's still a chance we may get one. Gabester did talk about one in the past. Here, take a look at these.
Long gone? Hardly. @SergentFido posted a temporary fix for @AR162B 's moonhawk mod back in November, and it has kept working ever since. It's not perfect; the hood no longer fits perfectly, there is no way to connect it to trailers, and all emergency lights remain broken, but it's still mostly workable. --- Post updated ---
I'll try to post an updated version with the hood at the right place and a towhitch. It's not difficult as the Moonhawk Sedan and Oldsfullsize mods have the exact same nodes except for some particular parts.
i its Geoff! I like that car. I even made a little model in real life using a hot wheels car, cardboard, tinfoil, tape, markers, and some legos. also...sunbutt
https://www.google.com/search?q=67+...VLeD4KHSrXA1sQ_AUI4AMoAg#imgrc=qDDWenX0BqYMGM: These Chrysler wagons would be nice. I'm mostly interested in more subframe front, leaf spring rear cars. As every car after 1966 for Chryslers were subframe cars.
