One click install not working

Recently when i try to download a mod using the one click install button method it doesnt work, when i press install on a mod page it opens my beamng drive but it doesnt download. and i have tried this with myself being in game first and downloading it as well but it wont download. this was working fine around a month ago so i wonder why its not working now

 

Just manually install it. Ill make the a list that is easy to follow so we dont block up the forums with people who keep complaining about this issue that has an extremely simple fix
1. Press orange button
2. wait for mod to finish downloading.
3. open your downloads folder
4 open the mods folder in BeamNg Drive/ Documents path located below

5. right click and press cut on the mod while in the download folder
6 then copy it into the mod folder above and it will work next time you use the game unless the mod is old or outdated

 

yeah thats what i have been doing since. im just curious about why it suddenly stopped working.

 

Usually the not-manual way is to already have the game open, and then press install. This usually works for me.

 

I have tried it with a lot of different mods but the manual way works fine

Update: it works! i haven't changed any settings or downloaded anything to chane the game but it just works all of a sudden. i still dont know why it wasn't working before but it is now. so thankyou for everyone who helped!

 

This happens to me as well, I have to do it multiple times before it will actually work. And sometimes it will download twice

 

But shouldn't it jut correct the double download and delete it? That's what it does for me. It just overwrites the mod.
