Only joysticks are detected on ps3 controller

i am having a problem, i use a ps3 controller with scp server and it works, my usual controller has broken, whilst i was playing beamng, (it broke cause it came unplugged so i pushed it in but the wrong way and it snapped) and then i got another controller and i plugged it in got it working and it just detects the joysticks of the new controller. when i unplug then plug it back in and it starts zooming in the camera, resetting the car (insert button) and wont let me rebind controls as it doesnt detect them, it is also hapening in other games, any help?

Windows 7 ultimate sp1
Ps3 controller
Scpserver

please help, has me stumped

We don't support third-party softwares for controllers.
I believe the PS3 controller should work out of the box, without requiring any software to work.
I don't own one myself, maybe some user that uses that can help here.

If the issue happens also in other games, that's something not related with the game itself.
What model is the other controller? Does it happen if you unplug the PS3 controller?

Does not work for me. I had to use SCP toolkit

Your issue is not SCP from what I understand, but the fact that your other controller (specify what controller is that please), is not working properly when you connect it.
Does it happen only if the PS3 controller is connected and the SCP program is running?
If you close SCP and disconnected the PS3 controller, does the other controller works fine?

It could just be a conflict between SCP and your other controller.

They are both origional ps3 controllers and scp toolkit is running, what would i have to do to get it to forget the old controller, i have tryed uninstalling everything to do with the controllers and redone and is still doning it

PS3 gamepad is not officially supported by default. It may or may not work using 3rd party software, as explained here: Controller_support
