As a potato laptop/stove user, the game needs more optimizations to run on potato laptops. Well... it runs fine, but after a while my laptop overheats and the game lags. And I'm here to share some suggestions for the game to run on potato laptops better. Buggy "lowest" graphic setting: In lowest lighting quality, the lights appear through any surface. And if texture quality is set below normal (like low or lowest), the car light "blobs" don't work properly, or they are not in the correct position; at least for vehicles. I would also like to see working vehicle lights in lowest lighting quality, since street lights work fine (Lights in Johnson Valley gas station work fine). (See pictures 1 & 2) Shadow quality option: It would be nice if the shadow quality is independent from the lighting quality. I personally prefer blob shadows (for performance reasons) but currently car lights don't do anything in lowest lighting quality. So I'm "forced" to use low lighting quality but with the shadows being more detailed my laptop suffers even more. Adjustable view distance: Although this setting exists in the files of the level/map, it would be convenient if we could adjust draw distance on all levels simply by using a slider/option. In this way, the GPU doesn't have to draw a lot of polygons. Adjustable physics update speed: I don't really know physics and computer stuff, but if a CPU is updating something slower, then the CPU should be more "relaxed" right? I don't really have an explanation for this, but maybe a setting where we could adjust the update speed of the physics? That's all I can suggest (for now), would appreciate if a developer would respond to this thread. Anyway great game you could crush cars and cook breakfast at the same time!
