Haven't seen this suggested before, but would it be possible to add (I know it is possible, but if it could be done is what I mean) parking lights and daytime running lights to the game? You could maybe do the parking lights the way Euro Trcuk Simulator does it where you have your parking light and headlight toggle and have the high beams on a separate button? And then have the DRLs (daytime running lights) activate when the headlights are off and in a gear other then park and then have them turn off when in park or if the headlights are on? (of course you need a vehicle that actually uses these) And I know a lot of cars use DRLs even when the parking lights are on (Chrysler 300 uses its LED DRLs when the parking lights are on or off even in night time (non auto mode)). Bit complicated yeah, but I really enjoy lighting things like this on vehicles, and something I pay a lot of attention to, because it is something I think is cool.
DRLs are only on modern cars, so may not see that until they model a newer style car. Usefulness? none that i can think of. Personally, i don't see the point of them. if you can't see a car (even in adverse conditions), maybe you shouldn't be driving?
Iv'e seen people drive in very poor weather conditions with out lights. And dark conditions. And it might help animals from running in front of your car. If it's raining hard and your vision is distorted it could be hard to see oncoming cars (especially dark colored cars). My friend's mom saw a crash in a thunderstorm because someone didn't turn on their lights. Back on topic. I would like to see more options for lights I really liked that way Euro Truck Sim 2 did it like you said. The only car that could really use them is the Sunburst. all the other ones are too old for DRLs that are in game.
Yeah, that is true, unless the Gavril H and D series are around that time frame. I know that GM used DRLs in their pickups on the last body style for the C/K before they went to the Silverado, and GM (maybe Ford) has had DRLs on their vans for a while. But even then, there could be that option to add onto mods. Ah toward usefulness, in game, just adds realism and is cool. IRL it does make the cars easier to see, and it has been shown to actually help prevent crashes a little. Plus if they are put in the right spot, they make the vehicle look cooler going down the road. (IMO)
