Particle Editor killing all game particles ?

Creating new particles deletes the data block causing red errors trying to add a new emitter afterwards.

I wander is if its because the games core is zipped, and its trying to write to it and failing. Particles is not stored in the user folders from what I can see, just a item.jason pointing to the default particle emitterdata block. Remember Forest had issues writting and saving to the datablock too.
