Just a quick note regarding some of the recent reviews on Sh3lbYe's Sunburst Facelift mod (rant). A few of the recent ones all complain that people leaving lower ratings are just haters or should do it better themselves and not leave a bad review, and for anyone who shares that opinion, I feel that I need to at least state something. There's a difference between having an opinion and/or providing constructive criticism, and saying "oh this sucks because you made it." To say that someone shouldnt leave a bad review because they dont like it is absurd, thats the entire point of a review. If you played a game that was horribly optimized and you didn't like the game at all, or if you went to a restaurant and service and food was sub-par, should you not be allowed to leave a negative review? Likewise, you probably won't go and develop a better game, or provide better service and food. I left a review with constructive criticism- and a few other reviews agreed with their own opinions on it- saying that the mod was not good in the sense of a "facelift", as that would mean taking a step forward in a company's design, not back, which is the opposite of what he did with a 2010's era Sunburst and adding a 2004-styled front end to it. The front and rear designs dont match, and as someone with at least some car design knowledge, that makes no sense for a facelift/refresh model of a car. Now I didn't just review it for the sake of being negative, and there are other reviews saying to do something with the rear end too. The mod is a good start to be what the '89 Pessima is to the newer Pessima in the form of a previous generation Sunburst. However, I feel like these type of people don't want to hear what someone has to say if it doesn't share the same opinion, and that can negatively affect suggestions for a mod maker to improve.
