Try making it in mod form ie. Using my mod as an example and doing the same thing Corvette said, but in the mod. That's guaranteed to work.
Use the template attached, then follow the instructions Corvette gave. For example, it says put your song in the art\sound folder, so put it in the mod's art\sound folder. The .lua is in it's folder, too.
It still won't let me paste anything in, or edit the lua. I'm sorry if I'm annoying you with this, I truly have no idea what I'm doing.
Step 1. Create a folder named "unpacked" in your mods folder. Step 2. Download the file and put in the newly created folder. Step 3. Right click on the .zip > Extract All... > Extract Step 4. Delete the .zip Step 5. Follow Corvette's instructions Step 6. This part is confusing, but a Windows limitation. Go into the folder, right click on the vehicles folder. Press send to > Compressed (zipped) archive. When it's finished, copy the art folder into the newly created .zip. Step 7. Rename the .zip Step 8. ??? Step 9. Profit
Works for both, but the template is an empty zip with just the folder structure and .lua. --- Post updated --- Hey! After more testing, I found it works with any major song type. MP3, FLAC, etc.
Nice tutorial, but just a side note: All you need to do is modify the sound file and nothing more. If you modify the lua, it causes mod incompatibility and may break with updates, which may explain why a couple piano sound mods are inaccessible.
