I maybe mistaken, but I could not find an option to turn off the markings in the game menu. It kills the immersion for me and it´s absolutely unnecessary for them to be there at all, as there is the GPS minimap in UI. Please delete this thread, if it´s already requested somewhere else.
Yes, I am going to bump this thread! It is still unresolved and let alone this - the new mission system has the same feature. For now, after the 0.24 update the same thing has been requested and supposedly addressed with the change log stating that the menu item has been renamed. Yes, the mission markers do not appear anymore, but the blue arrows are still there. 024.1 made no difference.
