Over my years of playing beamng, I somehow never knew about the free app that you can download on your phone, and steer on the computer like a steering wheel. I was sad though to see that most of the app's features ( like the speedometer ) were broken, and I was also sad to see that the app wasn't updated in a long time. If you could keep the app going, that would be great ^(・ω・)^
You can download an app on your phone and pc called "Monect PC Remote" and use it as a controller for beamng. If your pc has Bluetooth, you can use that to lower latency. My laptop has a mobile hotspot feature so i can turn that on to connect it directly to my phone. I made my own layout with buttons for the headlights, engine, shifters, turn signals, camera view, and reset level. The only thing is you have to adjust your beamng controls in a specific manner, which took me a while to figure out. PM me if you are going to use the software so i can help you set it up.
It works. You need to enable 'Outgauge Support' from the game's option. Once done, reload the vehicle and all the gauges would animate on the app.
