They got a Pre-RC version out of Torque3d 4.0 which will have/has PBR (physically based rendering). Test it out there: https://forums.torque3d.org/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=1594#p11744
We forked from T3D years ago, this is completely incompatible. We have different plans for PBR as well. Just give us time UPDATE: to clear things up, we do not plan for pbr for 1.0, we have more important things to work on right now.
I know, i know, im sorry <3 My lame excuse is its out of interest for others that looks at the T3d game engine.. Now.. that PBR comment i like and ill try and not speculate too much around that and any similarities i might find in the bng and t3d 4.0 preview shader files
