Problems getting the new update

I tried to install the new update and it was going really slow and said "waiting for server." It would jump between going fast and slow and after about an hour of downloading it finally finished with an error message saying that some file could not be found. I decided to uninstall and reinstall Drive and try my luck again, this time the update went through perfectly with speeds that I would expect, until I opened up the game and realized that it had "updated" to the version that I had playing all along. That's not really an update. Perhaps someone should teach me how to update, because apparently I'm doing something wrong. Any help/ideas would be much appreciated. At least the game is running, but not on the most up-to-date version yet.

 

Not sure if that was the issue but I got it working anyway when I tried again today. Thanks anyway. It says that you guys are working on local multiplayer both in this update and the previous. If you had to guess, how far away are you from completing this? I'm really excited for it.
