Question about power steering in Beam

1. Exactly what effects does selecting power steering have on the FFB for a given car in BeamNG?
2. Is there any reason to NOT utilize power steering in Beam, especially for sporty driving?

 

AFAIK it's just and overall reduction in FFB strength when using power steering. Not using it can in some cases give some better grip feel but for some cars I prefer power steering even for hard driving.

 

I figured it would act as range compression for lack of a better word, IOW keep maximum steering torque consistent at both low and high speeds.
