I use this to play BeamNG in 720p, usually in windowed mode, which it seems to be enough most of the time, I don't really play much else demanding so for me faster GPU would not do anything, I would still get solid 60fps and FPS would still crash to floor with 12 headlights. i7-6700 @ 3.7Ghz Thermaltake Macho Rev.B cooler (had to hammer side panel of case a bit to make it fit) Gigabyte Z170X-UD3 mobo Gigabyte GTX 1050 Ti OC 4GB 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4 256GB Samsung SM951 NVMe M2 (only x1 right now, other one broke) Seasonic S-12 460W fanless PSU All sit in Deep Cool Tesseract 2 case (not exactly sure about model) 1920x1280 27" screen Cheap Sturmovik illuminated keyboard Logitech MX518 mouse, it's 10th birthday soon for it and no suitable replacement has come. 8/10 because the gpu is a bit weak, probably do a lot of rendering. Specs in signature but replace the I3 with an i5 because that's what I'm going to do soon.
As I'm perfectly aware that it can take months or years to actually carry out such upgrades I can only assess the build 'as is' basing on a deficient info on its specs. And in these circumstances I give it 6/10, no major flaws or shortcomings, nothing to brag about either. There's prospect for bonus points after actually replacing the CPU and supplying more info, for instance on cooling and other accessories and peripherals, depending on what will they be. Well, no build. Specs in signature, but replace the i3 with an i57500, and the 460 with a 470. I'm asking this because I've already been answered for my normal build, so I want feedback on my soon to be upgraded build. @spavatch.
Good build, a little older, but powerful 7/10. Build is in my signature along with how many vehicles I can spawn before going under a certain framerate. Or you can look in this post for more comprehensible words. i7 5820k Hexa-core 16GB DDR4 1 TB 1 Part. + 2 TB 2 Part. (2 hard drives with 3 Partitions) 970 FTW+ 2.0+ 4 GB DDR5 VRAM (In the GPU)
How is it bottlenecked? It is one generation old. I tried out a 1070 my friend loaned me and I didn't notice a difference worth noting. Anyway, slowed by RAM DDR3, DDR4 starts where DDR3 stops at speed. 7//10
I dont even know why i post my specs, they are by far enough and there arent any bottlenecks.... anyways here they are: i7 6950X Extreme Edition (4GHz base) 64GB Corsair Vengance LPX (3200MHz) Asus RoG Rampage V Edition 10 2x Gigabyte GTX 980 Ti Gaming G1 1000W Aerocool Predator Gold Modular Samsung 950 Pro M.2 (NVME) Corsair Carbide Air 540 White Extra stuff -sleeved cables -Corsair K95 Platinum RGB -3x Corsair HD120 RGB Fans (Front intake) -100% RGB except power button Spoiler: Picture
woah that is powerful! 9/10 (10/10 would be 10 series GPUs) mine= Core i5 4690k @4.8 (not normally this high but FH3 is a dog on CPU perf) GTX960 2gb ASUS Z97-A Some sandisk ssd (128gb -i think it is the Sandisk Ultimate) Corsair Carbide 200R (shitty case) Noctua NH-D14 4xCoolermaster JetFlo's
8/10 raw performance, 9.5/10 value for money, it's very good value for money, honestly hard to beat in that aspect. Plus in raw performance it is certainly good enough for almost all regular gaming tasks. Besides FH3 but I think an 18-core Xeon would struggle with that mess of a game if anyone cares, rate my main rig
8/10. A fast CPU and an SSD! Dell XPS 8500 case (I like the design of it, no hate pls) Intel Core i7 3770 12 GB RAM ASUS GTX 780 - Slightly OC'ed 256 GB Samsung 830 SSD 1 TB 7200rpm HDD Cooler Master G650M PSU Dell U2413f monitor Apple mechanical keyboard & an ugly Logitech gaming mouse (works like a charm though) Plus an Xbox One bluetooth controller!
8/10 bout 3 generations old hardware, but still adequate for today. Here is my unique setup: Laptop (MSI GE60 2PC Apache 2014): i7 4710HQ ~ 2.5-3.4Ghz 8GB Kingston Value DDR3L 1600Mhz Ram 256GB mSata Samsung EVO 850 SSD 1TB 7200rpm No Clue HDD GTX 850m Maxwell 2GB. The Fun part: External GPU through mPCI-E: Sapphire Nitro R9 390 8GB GDDR5 Monitors: 1x Laptop Screen 1920x1080 (ugly tn panel) 1x Television through receiver through laptop HDMI (HD4400/GTX850m) (Mainly used for audio) 1x LG 22EA63 21.5Inch 1920x1080 monitor(ips yay) (i'm sitting like 20 cm away, big enough for me) (Connected through e-gpu) 1x DELL E1911 1440x900 (better looking tn panel)(Connected through e-gpu) Peripherals: Motospeed CK104 Mechanical Keyboard (cheap, so why not) Motospeed V30 Gaming Mouse (Had a logitech G500 which died, so this is quit a step down, but its cheap) Logitech G27 Steering Wheel Incl H-shifter. I'm quit the cheap person, so I like going for some non conventional stuff sometimes. I am planning on building a desktop tho, waiting for Ryzen 5 to drop. Or I might go budget oriented all the way and try to build a cheap chinees x79 build with an xeon (e5 2670/80 or possibly a 3930k/4930k), though I am leaning towards Ryzen sinds that one can be upgraded in the future :X.
7.5/10, ooohhh a quadcore laptop CPU, oooooh an external GPU. oh and the obsessive nature with the monitors give you that extra .5
An AMD FX series CPU, not an excellent start, but the GT730 continues to let you down. 12GB Ram (ooh wow) 6/10-weaker hardware than the rest, but not terribly balanced (your GPU is a bit behind tho, but at the dell's monitor resolution your rig is nicely balanced)
Which I5? DDR4 RAM? 850 Evo? Pro? M.2? From what I know, if give it a 6/10. 8/10 if it's a 6th or 7th gen i5 with a 850 Pro/M.2 SSD In signature, but replace i36100 with i57500 and RX 460 with RX 470
