I also open a vehicle request outside vanilla (if you guys interested) Hi guys, the update v0.34 brings a new vehicle light mechanic in the "Nine". Highbeam, foglight, brakelight, turn signal, etc. .All have a new smooth mechanic when you turn it on. It is probably small yet my favorite improvement a vehicle can get. And I am wondering if I can make that system possible for all old models that still halogens light. And it works!!! Turns out all vehicle already have similar coding with the new "Nine" Also big Thanks to @rifionworks and @LJ74 for a very helpful inspiration. Here is my first experiment with the base Covet: Highbeam, Lowbeam, Turnsignal, Hazardlight, Brakelight, and well it doesn´t have Foglight haha(but it works with higher model) Here is the preFacelift and Facelift Roamer: Here is the ETK I Series: NEW UPDATE!! Here is the combination of both Halogens and LED Light with the ETK 800: Here is the Civetta Bolide : Here is so far all the .jbeam files, you can download it manually and replace the old with the new one (this is also works with all variant of the model): I will put every update in this section. You can choose AllVehicle.zip (included all vehicle mentioned) Here is what is done and their function - Covet (flawless) - ETK I series (flawless) - Roamer (highbeam texture does not work, but the other flawless) - Picollina (flawless) - Bluebuck (flawless) - Bolide (flawless) - Grand Marshall (flawless) (front light stay unchanged due to texture problem) - Legran (flawless) - Old Pessima (taillight a bit broken but work)(highbeam texture does not work) - New Pessima (all the light works but there some noticeable change between on and off) - Miramar (flawless) - Pigeon️ (taillight got small spike texture) - ETK 800 (flawless)(one of the best probably) - Wigeon (flawless) ITS A MIRACLE!!! - Lansdale (flawless) - Moonhawk (taillight a bit odd) - Wendover (flawless) - Hopper (flawless) - Burnside (flawless) - H Series (same problem with the new pessima) - D Series (flawless) - T Series (Rear Turnsignals don´t work, the rest works fine) - Wentward (only turn signals) - MD Series (the truck rear light variant do not work) - Racetruck (flawless) - Vivace and Tograc (indicators have some small missmatch material for vivace) Here is the vehicle I´ve tried but not work: - Barstow (taillight too many broken texture) - 200BX (also taillight disaster) - Stambecco (also taillight) - Sunburst (didn´t do it, the vanilla texture was awfull) pls dev remastered this car. P.s. please create a backup file incase of failed files Some Feedbacks will be very helpful thanks.
Sweet, I would put the prefix of the thread to; WIP Beta Released tho. --- Post updated --- broken or something? idk Cleaning cache, if it doesn't work, I might reinstall BeamNG
oh. do you replace the exact .jbeam file name with the correct location? and does the other vehicle works? I mean don´t copy the entire zip file just copy .jbeam file and paste it into the "vehiclename".zip usually the "vehiclename".zip is located in : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\BeamNG.drive\content\vehicles thx for the feedback btw
HTANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! i was gonna do this but i didnt know how to since beamng's documentation couldnt really help. can u pls help me cuz i want to do this with other cars (if i make it a mod i will credit u btw) edit: it wont let me move the files
well for the coding part you can see the clear tutorial from LJ74 at Important step: - for example open covet.jbeam file (main file). Every car have similar .jbeam name on it (like roamer.jbeam) - copy some code from the bruckel nine.jbeam (you can follow it with the video). Note: you have to be consistent with the "Naming label". Because you have to do it multiple times. - and for the flares, you have to do it manually with other .jbeam file (covet_headlight.jbeam, covet_tailights.jbeam, etc) some other cars like the D series have so many part. Just for the headlight, the facelift, prefacelift, base, highend model, and so on. You have to work it one by one haha. It is quite repetitive jobs but from my experience, but it is very worth it. So far i have made 6 car that is given in the zip file above. not all cars have the perfect texture because the old file i believe, like the covet turnsignal for example. give me a feedback to if you succeded goodluck oh yeah have you try one of my modification? Is it working or not?
do i need to paste the new jbeam text into the old jbeam text or swap the whole files? i cant swap files so idk what to do
you need to replace the old file with the new one. There is also a pop up banner that tell whether you one to replace it or not
I have tried that, I would see if it worked, then try something else. --- Post updated --- WARNING: AFTER DOWNLOADING CLEAR CACHE IT FIXED MINE! thanks for this mod
Locate your vehicles folder: Local Disk (C\Program Files (X86)\steam\steamapps\common\beamng.drive\content\vehicles\vehiclename.zip\paste, done.
Covet, roamer, next etki! ETKI works. --- Post updated --- My new "Light Illumination mod" (In testing) Is compatible with it, just put the file in your mods folder, I won't post the link here, but yeah. --- Post updated --- WORKS! Checking if when you put it in the mods folder it works. Works yesss
quick question, why not put them all in one mod? not a complaint just seems sorta inconvenient to download the lights for each individual car
pls help it still doesnt work after unzipping it, editing it (it wouldnt let me paste the new things in unless it was unzipped), zipping it back and now it wont even show up anymore.
it is still WIP. I will put all mods in the same file when all are finish. Currently I am putting one by one so you guys can enjoy it first. --- Post updated --- very cool isn´t it haha
Quick question guys. I am a little bit confuse to determine whether the ETK 800 turnsignal and brake light already use LED or still using Halogens. I know for a fact that 2000s BMW or Mercedes IRL some of them already use LED. But in this shown picture it looks like it still use the bulb for the brake and turnsignal.
