I'm trying to make a car in blender, but the edges are really sharp. What's the way to fix this? blenderhelp.png

Left side toolbar, there should be a thing called shading, underneath having 2 buttons called smooth and flat.

But the shading's a bit weird. Is that fixable?

Ok, I feel stupid for asking this, but I opened the save menu and I can't exit out of it. I tried restarting Blender, but that didn't work.
