    Hi,

I doubled the HP of the SBR4's engine in the .jbeam file to make it drag race faster. However, the tires just keep skidding when I launch it and I get only a little better acceleration than the stock engine. I know that increasing the tire friction fixes it but that is unrealistic. Is there any other way to reduce wheelspin?

Make sure to have drag tires equipped, also make sure to be on drag strip material, it's more grippy. You could also try lowering the pressure of the tires.

Thanks for these tips Turbo49! But even after I did all the above, there is still skidding happening (after I further increased power) making it hard to control the car. I have ESC set to 'sport' and it actually reduces the engine torque in the start to reduce skidding. Can I modify the traction control or something to further reduce engine torque when tires are skidding?

I don't know about the traction control but also, if you have AWD, put the race AWD system in and look at which tires are skidding and regulate how much power they get, for example if the front wheels skid put more power in the rear. If you were RWD switch to AWD. Also try putting the alder dragger 15x14 wheels at the rear, those are absolutely massive and should eliminate any skidding. 15x8 should be enough at the front.
