I've got it looking a little better. No side windows and tail lights don't function though, and headlights aren't aligned.

@*ST4RBUCK* Do you mind if I share it?

I've tried messaging @*ST4RBUCK* but they haven't been on the forums in months, so I don't expect a response.

Here's the fixed file for those interested. All Credit goes to @KG_Benz and @*ST4RBUCK* I simply fixed it for this update.

Ok, but the wheels look weird. Can you add the original wheels?

Are you planning on making gauges for the Miata?

I wasn't planning on doing anything other than making the 200bx parts go away. Maybe eventually. I do want to refresh some old mods, including this one, but my parts pack and the E30 refresh take priority.

This car's major issues from my perspective are that rear suspension is not really functional, there is wheel drop, but no bump, it might be some node hitting coltris or just some needs tweaking of whole setup.

Another one is that engine revs like a semi engine, but it might be semi actually revs faster, inertia is way too much and as inertia is resist of change in motion, when you shift it likes to break traction, when you corner engine defines rpm so strongly that tires rather break traction than change engine rpm.

Those two things are what fixed alone would make this car much better.

As it stands right now it is just a pretty shell, but not really a Miata in handling and drivability, that is of course fixable, but does require some effort and time.

For example engine, research for finding real torque curves, putting them into game with proper friction and inertia, balancing thermals etc. 2 hours is just a start with that. Radiator cooling alone can take more than hour as need to find out radiator size, material, radiator fan airflow, thermostat temp, just to calculate proper numbers for cooling, then you might need to play with inertia and friction which results with each change new torque curve I think you will get the picture of what it is to make realistic mod, graphics are super easy part in that.

Anyway I really hope this car could be improved and especially I hope to see MX-5 Cup variant in game some day, but as it goes in BeamNG forums, most likelyhood to get something is to make something :p

Here is radiator bits though, making realistic mod is math in BeamNG:

Yeah, it's definitely not easy, but I plan to eventually refresh multiple old or "russian" mods and model what I need to in order to improve quality, including suspension bits. This is definitely a long term goal so I don't want to get anyone's hopes up, especially since I'm still trying to get the hang of functional jbeams for my parts pack, I'm not quite ready for a whole car, but I'll keep working on it slowly as I figure things out!

Use this for NA engines, if you set inertia and friction to values beamng engines have and put real world numbers in spreadsheet, you can get proper engine behavior quite easily.

At least that will make something bit easier.
