With the latest update we received a beutifull updated ETK series.
On the Rennspecht version there are Rennspecht adaptive dampers installed.

Can someone explain me the characteristics of the Rennspecht adaptive dampers?

prob softer or stiffer depending on the drive mode selected. Like comfort ECU setting is probably the softest and tt Sport the stiffest

I´ve always wondered what AD are good for. Dampers only regulate the speed of spring travel, so the way I view it for optimal grip there is only one way to set up the optimal damping. Why then you need "harder" or "softer" dampers is beyond me. Maybe the "less body roll" makes up for "less grip" for harder suspension setup, idk.

Edit: found a pretty good explanation here: https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/a10385629/why-stiff-suspensions-have-less-grip/
Although this concentrates more on spring rates and less on damping.

A drop test will make no difference, as it was stated stiffer dampers only prevent the spring oscilations easier and don't change the amount of compression. It's actually REALLY hard to find an explanation of why exactly stiffening dampers while keeping the same spring stiffness benefits the car, most websites agree that it's generally a terrible idea to swap "better" dampers on a car while keeping the same spring rate. I guess they just use 2 or more variants of carefully calculated settings per car, which both deliver good frequencies to prevent spring oscillations but the sport variant just prevents the body roll better which is less comfortable to the driver but improves cornering handling.

I always you Grid/suspension map and the different lanes that are offered there, especially the small bump lane (I think it is the sixth from the left). If the car bounces too much, then the dampers are too stiff (the springs cannot react in time). Gives a good indication if the car´s suspension is well-made or not.

From all the reasons that can explain why "harder is better" only one applies:
(yes) less body roll and lean
(no) lower ground clearance/lower center of gravity (does not apply because spring rate unchanged)
(no) aero efficiency, downforce adaption (does not apply because spring rate unchanged)

There also are some damping calculators, I have one that I found on this forum --> https://www.beamng.com/threads/basic-car-tuning-thread.66335/#post-1090226

I'll try and do a performance test with the TC and ESC off but with comfort and ttsport+ modes later today

I doubt you get valid results with keyboard input: you are not able to judge how car reacts to minor inputs, you can go from lock to lock in no time making it difficult to judge the body roll behaviour. For instance you go full throttle full lock into the long third bend, and then you say it´s understeery, what did you expect on full lock at high speed (I stopped watching at that point).

That had the same effect as a keyboard…
