Viper Racing is a Dodge-licensed 3D car racing game developed by MGI, released in 1998 It was the first racing game that I played that had somewhat realistic physics and introduced me to the world of sim racing Recently I installed it again to have some nostalgic time, and while playing I got curious how those tracks would feel in BeamNG After a lot of research (and lots of trouble trying to find working websites with useful information and files about a game so old) I was able to port one of it's tracks to BeamNG Surprisingly for a game so old, the collision model for the track is quite high poly, but the visual model is a bit blocky on some parts, because of this difference some moments the car will appear to be floating, other moments it will phase a bit through the asphalt, I suggest to ignore it, I assure that it happens the same in the original game lol I tried to reproduce Viper Racing's water physics and it's extremely unforgiving grass physics as best as I could I know that this mod will appeal to a super niche portion... But who know if someone else is out there thinking about the "good old days" racing on Val's server or even on VRGT
wow i never thought id see this map again i used to play this for hours when i was a little kid what an amazing mod thank you keep them coming
