Hey all! I've gotten an opportunity to buy a friend's used ryzen 7 1700 overclocked to 3.8ghz. though I'd like some feedback from someone that owns this processor on how many cars you can handle, and how this game tends to run? I'm planning on pairing it with an RTX 2080 or 2070, could this cause any bottlenecking? It's an upgrade from an I5 6600 and rx480, so this is gonna be a big step up!
The Ryzen 7 1700 can run more vehicles than your GPU can, that's for sure; you'll probably be able to run 8 to 10 vehicles depending on the map before encountering lag due to GPU limitation (nothing you can do about it, the game is graphically demanding). There won't be any bottleneck with those GPUs.
and I can't wait for that! Iv'e decided on the 2070 with the r7 1700, being able to spawn 8 instead of 4 other cars will be great.
A fellow R7 1700 owner, I see! With Beam's new supercharged graphics rendering engine, I've been able to use as many as 16 cars (one per thread) while keeping playable frame rates with a GTX 1080.
Another R7 1700 owner here! its such a beastly CPU, but unfortunately because im a broke student my GPU (R7 370 2GB) REALLY limits my R7s potential. I can normally spawn in about 8-9 cars before my frame rate tanks because of my GPU, and yet my R7 barely breaks a sweat.
