    As suggested by the title, I am unsure of how to export the custom changes I have made to the ECUSA map as a separate map. And, if I do export it, will I have to export it again to make sure the changes aren't erased by game updates? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

    The manual way would be:
    1. Find vanilla map zip file in installation/content folder and copy/unpack it somewhere
    2. Find your changes in userfolder/levels/map folder and copy them over the vanilla files from 1.
    3. Use a texteditor and find/replace the level path in all json files
    "/levels/eastcoastusa/" -> "/levels/mynewmap/"
    use notepad++ or visual studio code to find/replace over all files
    4. In info.json give your map a new name

    You could use my tool to do the steps 1., 3., and 4.

    You would start with the rename feature
    1. After selecting eastcoast my tool unpacks the vanilla level
    2. you can locate it with the working folder button and then copy over your custom files
    3. then you use the fields for renaming the level
    4. Press rename
    5. you can make a zip file or use the unpacked folder

    Go to your BeamNG userfolder. Can be found in the launcher menu.
    Then open the levels folder. Here are your custom files saved. There you should find the eastcoast usa folder. Copy this folder and paste it into the levels folder of the unpacked vanilla folder. Answer overwrite questions with yes.

    I saw this question already multiple times and I decided to build a solution into my tool. The "Rename Map" feature now automatically detects changes you have made in world editor and asks you if you want to add them to your renamed map. In my tool select the rename feature then choose eastcoast from the vanilla map drop down and after unzipping you are asked if your changes should be copied over. Then give your map a new name and your changes are all in.
