Screen being weird

So I'm trying to play BeamNG on my Dad's computer and every time I try to enter full screen it goes back to the resolution 800X600 (4:3) 0Hz. Could some one help solve my problem I would really appreciate it. Cheers.

Is it usable?
If so, go to the Options > Graphics menu and set the correct resolution manually.

Yeah I tried that but the only option that came up was the 800X600 resolution. Is there any other way to fix the resolution. Thanks for helping out.

What kind of cable are you using to connect your monitor?
Any weird adapters in-between?
Does all resolution appear in Windows itself?
