Seeding issue?

So the update has finished downloading but now it is seeding and it has been seeding for a long time? How long does this take? I started the download at 1:30 PM and it started seeding at around 10 PM

Seeding is an innate part of torrenting. Google will do better than me. here goes though.
Torrenting is based off people uploading files to each other to boost speed. The beamng updater is uploading beamng to other people who are downloading it. This will go on forever of you want it to, but you can still play the game when it is running. You can also quit it but it is reccomended to upload at least as much as you downloaded first.
