Seekonk, Massachusetts A map based on a small town located in southern Massachusetts. Read about this resource...
I hope you can recognize some areas. I am trying the best I can to make it like Seekonk, but it is very hard. Thanks for your support.
Not much for me to recognize as we don't exactly go to Seekonk often. It's like an hour away from where I am.
I see, you live probably on Cape Cod, that would take awhile to get to Seekonk then. Even so, use Google Maps, and a lot with look very similar. Of course the A0.1 version I released is really early, and right now as I am working on it is looking better and better.
I was mistaken, I'm in Central MA but far enough south to border CT. Still just an hour away. I'm not quite awake yet so please excuse my mistake. Southern MA doesn't look much different than it does here. I can already see the resemblance between your map and Seekonk. Also, I think I went the wrong way....
That makes more sense now. Yea, the map is being built right off of East Coast, USA. Some areas I haven't flatten out yet, causing weird spots in the map.
So I have thought about it, and it looks like every week I will release an update (if a lot of progress has been done.) If not a lot of progress is done, I will wait it out until I work on it more. This will hopefully make it so I can get the content out faster to you while I take in the feedback to continue working on the map.
Exactly, I actually use the terms correctly, not like today where BETA means demo, and ALPHA means BETA. This is a very early Alpha release, and honestly you should not expect much from it. It will get better as time goes on, I am working hard on it, and the A0.2 release should be much better, with more to explore. Estimate for A0.2 release is July 17.
Looks nice. Will the parts from the original East Coast map (like in the original town) be removed in the future, as this is an alpha or are they planned to be kept? (Like this part here from the original town, the floating buildings)
I actually already removed all of the East Coast area, so yes, the parts from the East Coast map are removed. The reason why is because I always though that the East Coast map didn't not represent the East Coast well. Since the map is based on Maine, then it is possible that is how Maine is, but what I see everyday is nothing like the the East Coast map.
I was experimenting with merging houses together to see if I would like it, and that floating house I never fixed.
