I'd like to record some panoramic shots in game. How can I set 360 degree field of view?

I have tried setfov (360) but I can't seem to affect anything - even on free cam. Any tips and tricks appreciated, thanks!

It's not possible to have a 360° kind of view.

Take lot of screenshots, then use Hugin to stitch them together.

Thanks for the feedback - I was afraid that was the answer. I may have to revise my strategy here - perhaps use the largest value (I think it is limited to 120-150 degrees?) and do some trickery.

Edit: I was hoping to make 360 video.

You could record a replay. Record the camera at one FOV (usually max is 180 in games, no idea about this one) then record, then flip the camera around 180° and re-record, then stitch that together.

Otherwise, open the game windows, and make it as wide as possible, and as short as possible to force an extreme POV at the cost of fidelity.

I just tried this - it almost works. Not completely 180 but very close to it when I adjusted the game window to be wide and short. Fidelity is not a huge problem since they are meant for outside shots and would be blurred somewhat.

The end goal is to use that footage in a 3D project and superimpose the video onto a dome mesh to emulate moving scenery while driving. I will experiment more on this when I have a chance.
