I'm sure this has been discussed before but it would greatly add to the realism that if a glass panel is broken, there are actual shards of glass that fall to the ground. As it is now, if a window breaks, the glass magically disappears. In general, there should be more debris in crashes. If you've seen enough YouTube videos, you know that even in low speed crashes, there are all sorts of fragments that fall off cars--molding, chrome, light fragments, etc. In high speed crashes, there is a considerable amount of debris, ranging from tiny shards, all the way up to suitcase-size debris. Yes, I realize this takes extra processing power, but some of us have processing power to spare.
I would be surprised if that is not implemented in the game later. However, there is no doubt it will be really hard on your computer. Like REALLY strenuous. That being said, I'm guessing it will be a feature you can turn on and off, and i look forward to it.
That's what I really like about next car game, you feel like a real crash with all the parts flying everywhere but in beam there are only a few parts which fly off. It's just a matter of improving the particle physics, which is a fault of torque.
For the love of God, it doesn't need to be actual, physically solid, 3D modelled individual pieces of glass colliding with each bit of geometery, so cut off with the "that would be hard on the fps" thing. Just a simple particle effect with 2D sprites and no collision (or maybe just collision with the world map) would give a nice touch, like this. The good thing about effects like these is that they could be disabled or simplified on lower settings if you really have that much of a toaster (like the dirt/grass/sand/smoke wheel particles)
