I just had this question. The game when driving Police cars without the siren is kind of boring and is unrealistic. Also horns are used a lot in real life so why can't we have it in BeamNG? Please reply why there shouldn't be.
There's an audio engineer working on a sound revamp right now, but that's about all we know. It could come anytime from tonight to next year!
just wait till the new sound system and we will see what will happen. The engine sounds need to be first.
They do and hopefully there will be police sirens and horns --- Post updated --- Aslo some fire trucks and their sirens (American ones since there is the ETK fire truck mod witch is a Euro fire truck
It is probably on the very very veeeeryyy long "stuff we have to do" list. They are working on a new sound system anyway so I guess using that wont be a problem to add your own sounds
See this has been suggested before quite some times when I searched for it but have wanted this so bad myself since I first drove the police car Even tried modding it in but weren't able to get it working, but, as there isn't a mod for it yet out there, I understood it's not possible it seems My recommendation: Police sirens on YouTube looping in the background
Yep, I expect them to be in the update by the audio engineer, and I'm looking forward to how much more immersive everything will become with the addition of a good sound engine. (And a good sounding engine.) In the meantime, you can fake it pretty well in a video by looping a siren sound and using a reverb plugin to fit the environment. Theoretically you could also play a loop and adjust reverb on the fly while driving for ultra inconvenient realism.
