Now I know that I could work hard and learn the current editor.
But a simpler editor would make map making easier for everyone.

Well, I am suggesting a simplified mode for the editor.
This makes the editor easy to use.

When you click the roads button, there will be a simplified properties screen with select texture, road width, etc.
When you click to open the terrain tool, there will be the same buttons for terrain adjusting, and a button that lets you paint textures onto terrain. All you do is click the textures button, choose a texture from the window that pops up, and then you are ready to go. There will also be a window that lets you adjust strength, brush size, etc.
For trees, there will be a button you click. When you click it, there will be a menu where you can select your tree, and there will be a toggle box to place a random tree/plant with each click. There will be a button that adjusts brush size, strength, etc.
There will be a buildings button, that allows you to place other types of models, such as buildings.
On top of that, many of the other features would be heavily simplified.

To modify the trees and buildings menus, there will be a folder that you simply place the models into.

Before you reply and say, "omg just learn the editor", remember:
Think about how much easier it would be to make maps.
Simple tools that let you do much of the detailing that you do with the current editor now in this simplified editor.
And you can add your ideas for a simplified editor below.

    Thanks,
