Hello BeamNG Team, I'm a big fan of your game, and I would like to propose a feature that could further enhance the immersion and realism of the game’s engine mechanics, especially regarding fuel management. Feature Concept: Currently, the game already simulates the effects of G-forces on engine oil, but I believe simulating the effect of G-forces on fuel could add another layer of realism. Specifically, when a vehicle drives under extreme conditions, such as steep climbs or sharp corners, the fuel in the tank can move and cause fueling issues. Detailed Proposal: G-Forces Effect on Fuel Supply: During extreme maneuvers (steep climbs, heavy braking, or sharp turns), the fuel in the tank can be displaced and may no longer flow properly to the engine. If the fuel tank is nearly empty or the fuel is pushed to one side of the tank, the fuel pump may not be able to correctly supply fuel to the engine, leading to a fuel starvation situation. This would cause engine misfires or a power loss, potentially leading to a complete engine stall. Engine Stuttering as Fuel Returns: Once the vehicle stabilizes (in a descent or after the extreme maneuver is over), the fuel starts to flow back to the engine. However, the fuel supply would initially be disrupted by air trapped in the fuel lines. This would cause the engine to stutter: the engine would misfire and run irregularly for a short time until the air is cleared, and the fuel flows normally. This process would be accompanied by characteristic sounds and a temporary loss of power until the engine returns to full performance. Gradual Stabilization: After the fuel begins flowing normally again, the engine would gradually recover, but not instantly. The engine would need a few seconds to stabilize once a constant fuel supply is restored. Potential Consequences: If this issue persists too long (such as in continuous steep climbs or sharp turns), it could cause damage to the fuel pump or lead to extended misfires. This would create a need for fuel system repair or a complete engine reset. Why this feature would enhance the experience: Immersion and realism: This system would add another layer of realism where every aspect of the engine, including fuel management, directly impacts vehicle performance. It would deepen the immersion of the player, simulating real-life breakdowns and scenarios where the driver needs to manage mechanical issues. New challenges for players: Players would need to be mindful of their fuel management and the conditions that could lead to engine misfires or loss of power. Complementing existing systems: This feature would fit well with other systems already present in the game, such as oil management, engine temperature, and G-forces effects. Thank you for considering this suggestion. I am confident that it would add an extra dimension to the game and enrich the simulation experience.
