    I know I'll look like a fool but it's driving me crazy:
    My skin simply doesn't show up, if my explination isn't good enough I can upload the skin files (nothing else as I'm skinning AR*numbers*s Gavril Grand Marshal mod).

    I changed the standard colour in the .json:
    "default_color":"Deep Blue",
    This worked well.

    I skinned the fullsize_s.dds (made the stuff white = matte which I changed)
    I skinned the fullsize_d.dds
    I skinned the fullsize_c.dds (and _c_alt): Made the stuff I skinned transparent in the hope it'd fix my problem)

    I changed the material lines to (hopefully) use my new textures, here's an example for a line:
    diffuseMap[1] = "fullsize_d.dds";

    The problem is, ingame the Gavrils body will be blue only, without the stuff I added.

    I'm sure it's just a little dumb mistake but I couldn't figure it out... :/

    Edit: I got it kinda working, not sure what I did. Still, my skin will be the same colour as the other body, but it shows the different spec file now.

    Bumping with some possibly better information, attached images of what it looks like atm and the images.

    See the matte lines on the side? I want them to be grey, it just doesn't work the way I do it, how can I? I also want to keep the ability of changing the colour (except for the grey lines for sure) ingame.

    Reset all files back to normal, (just the texture files that you changed) hopefully you have backed up the files you changed so you still have the originals.

    Once the vehicle is back to normal, add the file I have given you to the vehicle folder,

    Open the editor, select free camera and click on the vehicle. Now select material editor, click on "fullsize" and select layer 3, click on the first empty box and install the supplied skin from the vehicle folder, press Alt + S to save the setting.

    Now you have the result you're after, I had to remake it completely as a transparency, this will allow you to have the grey matt colour you wanted and still be able to change the vehicle colour to anything you want. I doubled the dds size for better resolution.

    Thanks :D
    Sadly BNG crashes when I press on the "Materials" tab, is there also another way by just changing some stuff in the zip?

    No sorry, I personally don't know any other way.

    Maybe report it as a bug, the material editor was working on the last version. I'm not exactly rushing to update now if it is faulty, there's also no point for me to release anything because of that fault, thanks for letting me know. Sorry dude, I tried.

    I just checked the devblog for the hotfix, it looks like it may have been fixed, update your game again and give it another try, let me know if the material editor is working now.

    I have to use the old DX9 version, so there shouldn't be any worries to update, maybe it's just something on my line.

    Edit: With "Editor" you mean the world editor which you can access with F11, right? In case I understood wrong :p

    Yeah that's what I've done :/

    Dummiesman told me via Skype to make the stuff in the _c file transparent and colour in the _d file (not sure if I did it before, I've tried quite some variations), it didn't work either:

    Well there's more than one way to do it, I was just trying to show you the easiest way to apply a transparency without having to use the original files, the way I have tried to show you would allow you to keep everything else untouched and apply a completely new custom file in the editor by installing the transparency I made for you in layer 3, that way you can keep it or get rid of it without altering any of the standard vehicle files.

    Works fine for me,
